Hello David!
ReplyDeleteWe really loved your contrast photos 4 and 5. The way you published the images (one right below the other) makes it look like a mural compromised of two smaller photos. It appears most of your photos are in color, not monochrome? We felt that by adjusting your camera to the appropriate camera parameters would have greatly enhanced the light and the shadows in your collection. The color and white balance settings appear to be However, in spite of the camera settings, we felt that the overall appearance of your collection was interesting. The way you arranged the bottles was very architectural. We would have liked to see more detailed labeling. For instance, what position the key light and fill lights were in would be beneficial. We also noticed some possible overexposure in some of your photos. We felt that temperature was your best category. We admired the polarity in your photos. Specifically, we really admire photo 2 in your temperature category. It radiates a cold light and shadows in the background beautifully.
Sincerely,
Alexis Randolph and Anna Ceasar
We felt that the second and seventh pictures for the temperature characteristic were very strong. These pictures demonstrated an understanding of color temperature and your ability to manipulate the lighting in order to achieve different color temperatures. One critique that we have is that all of your photos were in color and they were supposed to be monochromatic with only the pictures for temperature being in color. Your post was organized and easy to understand but it would be beneficial to viewers if the photos had individual captions. Additionally, your exposure and focus was well done in these pictures. A few of the photos were a bit overexposed but the exposure was good for the majority of them. The bottles were composed in a way that showed your unique voice. Many of the compositions were visually engaging to look at.
