Hello Andrew,
ReplyDeleteYour work is fantastic, There was little to no blur in any of your work. It does feel a bit incomplete and unorganized. Be sure to follow written instructions by instructor. We are to utilize the acronym DITCH in how we not only label but order our work. You appear to be missing a few groups of photos and have mislabeled others. I will list it down below for next time because it also helped me keep organized. Also be sure to also add the rest of your photos! They are crucial to properly critique your work.
Here is the way DITCH is Acronymed:
Direction
Intensity
Temperature
Contrast
Hardness
Using these 5 words, I'd break my work into categories using your headings in your blogger toolbar. Post your photos accordingly and then press enter twice to separate them. Then caption which photo it is underneath. Always make sure to save your work to in the case you have computer based issues. Your formatting needs improvement, but other than that you were successful when it came to label what you did post of your work.
So to summarize it in a digestible manner, Make sure you have all your work presented, Be sure to view instructions (They give clues on how you can format your post), Tidy up your blog with proper organization and you should be set for next time.
Your work with temperature was very interesting to look at. Your first photo being the one that drew my attention right away. I am assuming your "position" photos is your direction they look great too. Unfortunately, we are missing a huge chunk of the other steps and that will need to be worked on as mentioned prior.
Hi Andrew.
ReplyDeleteOverall, we really enjoyed looking at the photos of your collection that you were able to post at this time, we are really looking forward to viewing the rest. A few that really stood out to us are your position 2 and 5 photos, as well as temperature 5, and fill 2,3, and 6. Your arrangement and use of space and light in your compositions. Labeling and organization would have made it flow through the pictures and scenarios of the project. We can clearly see that you understood the objective of the assignment as well as the creative scope.
Looking forward to seeing more,
Alexis Randolph and Anna Ceasar
You did very well for the direction characteristic. These images clearly showed what direction the light was coming from. We felt that your strongest images were photos four and six of the direction characteristic. These images had interesting compositions which created unique highlights and shadows. We noticed that you were missing some of the characteristics as well. The characteristics which are in the post are demonstrated well and we can see that you have a clear understanding of these characteristics. Your use of negative space contributed to the composition of your photos successfully. You did well at focusing on the light instead of the bottles. Your photos showed the way that the light interacts in the photos and the light and shadows was the focus of the pictures. We also liked your use of color temperature. Many of the photos for this characteristic had a mix of warm and cool color temperature and that made for very dynamic images.
