  1. Hello,

The project was complete. The post was well organized and was easy to read. You did follow the instructions well. The exposures of the photos were done well but some could have used some tweaking. For example, Intensity number 2 looks a little grey at first glance maybe darkening the shadows and popping the crossing of the shadows and light a bot more would help the photo pop just a bit more. The images are in focus and well sharpened but we though you could have played with the balance of the blur and sharpness just a bit more but were done nicely. We believe you understood the difference in characteristics and used this to your advantage as is gave you your individual voice as seen the the color and mood change in the temperature characteristic. The photos are picture of both bottle and light which we feel you used to your advantage of keeping the viewer engaged in the photos with both. The most successful characteristics we thought were Intensity and contrast as the use of shadow and light was used nicely and kept the viewer interested in the photos. The one we though that could have used a tad more tweaking was the temperature as you have for of the same photo in a row with different color change. We feel if you changed the position of the bottle candor added more the photos would be more interesting. (we do understand the examples of the white balance change but though it would be "cooler" if you had moved the bottle around.) The one photo we though stood out was the one with the caption of "Closer to subject, lower focal length". The photo has a nice use of 'drama' with the over exposed light and shadow. Along with a great use of space (fore, mid, and background). this photo draws the viewer in and keeps their eye moving towards the middle.
    Nice Job!

  2. Hi Gabriel.
Your collection is very interesting to view and we enjoyed it very much. We enjoyed how you arranged the bottles to get the effects you created. We feel that some of your most interesting photos are the first four in temperature, we really love how you showed the transition through the white balance with the same arrangement. We also really liked direction 5 and 2, as well as the choice photos you posted. Intensity was a very interesting category to view as well. Your labeling is great and very informative. We were curious as to the camera setting for the hardness section, they appear to be still in color. Overall, we very much enjoyed looking through your collection of work and feel that you captured the different portions of the project well.

    Thanking you,
    Alexis Randolph and Anna Ceasar

  3. Your use of shadows for the intensity portion of the project was very well done. We really liked how you experimented and tried new things. Your use of symmetry in the way that you manipulated the light and shadows was something we liked as well. Your individual voice showed through in your pictures and we can see your sense of creativity in your work. We felt that the characteristics that was your strongest was intensity. For this characteristic, we could clearly see that key and fill lights was coming from multiple angles and at different distances and we could also tell that the key and fill lights were at different brightnesses. You did a good job when it comes to the exposure and focus of your images. All of the photos look like they were intentionally shot and that thought went into each of them. We felt that your strongest image was the third one in the intensity category. This image shows the different intensities of the two light sources and it also has a very striking symmetrical pattern created by the shadows.
