Your assignment overall is not completed because there were missing photos for temperature many of the photos did not have captions. But, for your hardness photos, we liked how clear and organized these photos captions are. How you organized your photos was a little confusing because some did not have captions numbering them. How you took your photos followed the project instructions, but regarding how many photos you posted for each, you did not follow the instructions correctly. Some of the photos were a bit overexposed, which made them have less dimension than others. All of your photos were very focused and sharp. We did not find that you struggled with focusing your pictures. We feel that you have a very good understanding of the assignment because most of your photos fit into the categories they were put in. In the first few categories, you did a good job of showing an individual voice. But, towards the end, some of the compositions were repetitive. We feel that the photos you took for hardness did not demonstrate an understanding of the lighting and forms, but looked more like photos of bottles. But for intensity and temperature, we feel that your understand of photographing the light and forms was strong. Overall your strongest category we feel was intensity because these were all unique images that were sharp and have interesting compositions. We feel that you had the most struggle with temperature because you did not post the required amount of photos and many of the compositions were very similar. The photos that we felt was the strongest was intensity #1 because this photos composition was unique and overall the composition had balanced visual weight.
ReplyDeleteWithin your temperature characteristic there are photos missing. There are also no labels on the contrast, intensity, or temperature leaving it a little confusing to look at for evaluation. In my opinion, direction was your strongest characteristic, as for the other they got a little bit continuous in the aspect of positioning. Some photos were more about the bottles rather than the light casting and shadows created. Also, some exposures were a little too bright for the content leaving no shadows to express. It’s clear the photographer understands the 5 characteristics, but did not follow the brief instructions.
