You know better
Over the past 8 weeks, I have learned that the characteristics of light greatly impact how a photograph looks and feels. I have learned that lighting is very important to photography and I have learned that I have a lot of control over the lighting when taking pictures. Some of the principals I have learned about include highlights and shadows, hard and soft shadows, color temperature, direction, and intensity. Exploration of my camera's manual controls have given me a better understanding of how to shoot manually and how to properly expose my photographs. When I take photographs in the future, I will pay more attention to the lighting and apply the principals which I have learned and I will use my manual controls on my camera.

ReplyDeleteHi Clayton,
DeleteI think that your images for this assignment were unique and showed what you have learned in this class. I like how much you experimented with lights and darks. I also like how zoomed in your images were because it made the images more about the elements of photography and less about the objects themselves. The only suggestion that I have would be that your last image might be a little too dark.
Thank you for your comment. Your feedback is valuable and I will make sure to incorporate it in the future. I am glad to hear that the experimentation I used was effective.
