  1. Hi Annaleesha!

I love seeing Pueblo West through someone else's perspective! Although I was not able to hear the first part of your presentation, I was able to capture something along the lines of dog sitting and sticking a dog toy in the fence. This created a strong sense of shadow and highlight. During golden hour, you utilized the use of texture in the window to capture a distortion of the light that translates and somewhat blurry, an effect you liked (I do too!). I also heard that capturing the golden hour light through the curtains and blinds was something you pulled from your reference photos. Blue Hour was your favorite section to shoot. You were able to capture the vivid colors of blue with pops of pink/orange with pops of purple. This was my favorite section of yours as it captures my favorite part about pueblo west, the sunsets. Although you say mixed lighting is not a strong suit of yours, I disagree. You did a good job balancing artificial and natural lighting.

    Job well done!

  2. Hi, I enjoyed listening to you describe the process of creating these photos. You talked about how you often got close to your subjects and this choice really showcases the details and qualities of light of your various subjects. The use of the dog toy in the first image of the midday set was a creative way to showcase midday light. I love the interesting highlights in this photo. You found great ways to utilize the different lighting scenarios.

  3. Annaleesha,
I know you mentioned that you felt that you rushed on your mixed lighting photos but altogether they look like the perfect example of mixed lighting! The layering of natural light pushed into the background, the city lights in the midground, and the natural light in the foreground makes for a very appealing image. Your golden hour and blue hour images were flawless. All the images selected do an astounding job at representing their respective categories. Your golden light on the blurred window is fascinating to look at. The blur looks like it was intentional to make the shapes interaction with the light more soft.

  4. Hi Annaleesha,
I think you did a great job with this assignment. Every single photo that you took was visually balanced. I really like your use of the fence in your photos. It created a lot of very interesting lines and textures and also brought all of your photos together in a cohesive manner. I think you did a great job of capturing blue hour. This is something that I struggled with but you were able to capture very nicely. I like that your photos tell a story and that they contain a lot of creative elements. I particularly like your golden hour photos and the way that you created compositions. I think every photo that you took creates a sense of emotion in the viewer and also draws the viewer's eye around the compositions.

  5. Hi Annaleesha,
I really loved the line and repetition of the fence in the lighting that you shot it in. I thought they were all very interesting in the different lighting. I thought the light in the glass with the slight blur was beautiful as well with amazing light. The detail of the plants in your midday photos are amazing and I love the compositional balance of them. I also feel your mixed lighting photos are lovely and focused despite the low light. I really liked viewing your work and hearing how you got went about capturing them.
