Hi Gabriel!
ReplyDeleteI love going to Liberty Point! It offers such an expansive perspective over both Pueblo and Pueblo West. In your photos, you utilized the texture of the rocks and the color temperature to create strong highlights and shadows. The expansive perspective of Liberty Point allows you to capture magnificent photos of reflections in the water. In fact, your 3rd photo in your blue light was my favorite! Although you stated your mixed lighting section was somewhat of an after thought, I believe it to be your strongest section. You stated you utilized camera shake and aperture to capture your photos, and they provided very interesting images. I especially like your first photo.
Kudos!
Hello, it was engaging to hear your story behind these photos. One aspect that I found particularly interesting is the creative solutions you thought of when you forgot your tripod for the mixed light photos. Incorporating intentional camera shake was a great way to get around the lack of a tripod. I also enjoyed hearing about what it was like to take pictures at these locations such as the reservoir. It was interesting to hear you describe how much you enjoyed shooting during blue hour because that was the time of day which I struggled the most with. Thank you for sharing your experience with this project.
ReplyDeleteGabriel,
ReplyDeleteYou did a really great job altogether with composition and lighting in all your photos. If you struggle with any of these categories it really doesn't show! Blue hour and mixed lighting stood out the most to me. Your photo of the lake in blue hour casting a shadow into the water created a very cool focal point where the texture of the water reflected light. As for your mixed lighting all three images stand out. You made a very interesting effect with the artificial light by shaking the camera, the house has a good balance, and your rock with city lights in the background looks like it could be a painting. This posting shows that you clearly understood the project and succeeded in taking photos that fit each category perfectly.
Hey Gabriel!
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed taking the time to look at your photos! I believe that the places you chose around Liberty Point and in Pueblo West were a really good choice and you executed the mixed lighting photo of the house and the shake effect of the other very well! I really like your second golden hour photo since it really showed depth in the photo! Nice job!
Hi Gabriel,
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed viewing your work and how you captured Liberty point and areas around the reservoir. Your first blue hour shot was one of my favorites, I thought the reflection of the light on the water was amazing. I also loved the intentional camera movement in your mixed lighting as well as the house. Your golden hour and midday photos of the rock walls and landscape were lovely, I really like the balance of tree in your 2nd golden hour shot with the blurred background. Great photos.
